Do you want to create a music video of your solo or band’s performance at a local event? Maybe it’s a video to post on social media or your website to bring in new fans, a short documentary about your musical process or song creation, or a promotional video to boost hype for an upcoming album.
You may be an aspiring musician who wants to create a video with lyrics. Perhaps you want intimate footage of your performance. Todd Productions’ has the capability of providing simple single-camera shoots up to multi-camera shoots at live performances or recording sessions. As experienced musicians ourselves, we understand what you are trying to achieve … because we’ve done the same with our own band. So you won’t have to explain to us the details of music recordings. And that will free you up to focus on your music.
With one band member (Lead Singer Eric Dover) singing through the streets of Los Angeles and the other’s providing self shot footage, Todd Productions was able to combine them with stock footage to creating an energetic video to capture the “dreamlike” feel of the song!
Mike Viola (Candy Butchers, That Thing You Do) asked Todd Stanton if he wanted to document the development of a new band forming – Carl and his Camera. Todd and his assistant readily jumped at the opportunity to shoot a behind-the-scenes documentary of these great artists collaborate on the newly formed band’s first song writing session. The concept was to write a song that day, and then debut the song at their show, that very same night!”
With a simple budget, our multi-camera setup captured the spirit of the, then, “One Night Only” Performance of Mike Viola (Candy Butchers), Steve Eggers (The Nines) and Andy Reed’s (An American Underdog) version of Virgina.
The client wanted animation, but with no big budget to spend on custom animation, we offered a simpler yet creative solution. Equipped with the clients initial suggestion of dragons and a fairytale esthetic, as well as access to many stock footage suppliers we developed a fun solution that captured the imagination of the artists song!
Needing a video, but having very little budget, Todd and Brandon came up with a concept they found suited nicely. Brandon shot himself against a simple green screen using various instruments, and Todd did the rest, giving the final production a circus like look that matches the song’s energetic sound.
Having no real script to work from, the band hired another videographer to shoot some professional footage, that we then edited into the final production that you see here.
Shot by another professional videographer but edited by Todd Productions into a simple, yet fast paced, video that matches the energy and feel of this electric song!
On a scorching summer day in Waterville, this local band delivered an intense performance! This is only a mere highlight of the full show, which we also captured with the same energy and style!
